Your guided-explainer choices stay in your browser. Visiting a website still involves technical requests; this page explains the difference.

The guided explainer
The platform and reason categories you select are held only in the current page’s memory. They are not sent to our server, added to the page address, saved in cookies or browser storage, included in analytics, or shared with advertising providers. Reset or reload clears them.
The explainer has no account, text-entry, screenshot, or upload feature. It does not access your Google or Meta account, ad profile, screen, or browsing history. No external AI service receives your choices. Links to platform controls do not include your selections.
Technical website requests
Vercel hosts and delivers this site. Loading a page or file sends a technical request that can include your IP address, requested address, browser or device information, and request time. Hosting and security systems can process this information for delivery, reliability, and abuse prevention. This is separate from the explainer’s selections.
AdCheckMe does not include a visitor analytics service or session-replay tool. Hosting records are subject to the provider’s service settings and retention practices; we do not promise a universal deletion interval for records outside our direct control. If you email us
Email is optional. If you send a message, we receive your email address, the message, and any information you choose to include. We use it to handle your question, correction, or privacy request. Our contact mailbox is hosted by Gmail, so email is also processed by your email provider and Google. Please avoid including sensitive information or private advertising-profile details.
Correspondence can remain in the mailbox while a request is handled and as a record of that exchange. Contact us if you want to ask about or request deletion of a message you sent. We may need enough information to identify the relevant correspondence. The explainer has no stored answer history to retrieve.
Advertising status and third parties
Advertising is currently inactive. AdCheckMe does not load Google advertising or advertising-consent scripts in this configuration.
If advertising is activated, Google AdSense and its consent service may receive technical and consent information when they load on an eligible guide. The consent service can also load when you explicitly request Google privacy controls on this privacy page; that action does not load ads. Ad services can use cookies or similar technologies for delivery, measurement, and fraud prevention according to the applicable settings. These requests do not contain your explainer choices.
Our advertising integration requests non-personalized ads and checks available consent and opt-out signals before requesting an ad. Non-personalized does not mean no data is processed. Review how Google uses information from partner sites and the purposes and providers listed in the consent message when advertising is active.
Browser storage and privacy signals
When live advertising is available and you choose “Turn off ads on AdCheckMe,” the site saves that preference in local browser storage under adcheckme_ads_disabled. It contains an advertising preference, not your explainer answers. Clearing browser storage removes this local preference; a later visit still checks applicable consent choices.
An active consent service may store its own preference records. The site honors a detected Global Privacy Control signal by withholding advertising requests. If the privacy checks needed to allow an ad cannot be established, the site leaves advertising unavailable.
Your choices
Use to check the current advertising status. When live advertising and the applicable consent service are available, this also gives access to consent review or regional opt-out controls and a way to turn off ads on AdCheckMe.
You can refuse optional consent and later withdraw it through the available controls. Withdrawing permission stops further ad requests from this page; it cannot undo requests already completed. Turning ads off does not prevent you from reading the guides or using the explainer.
Your browser also provides cookie and storage controls. For settings that affect ads on Google, Facebook, and Instagram themselves, use the ad controls directory. Those settings are maintained by the respective platforms.
Sharing and external links
We do not collect explainer answers to sell, share, or build profiles. Hosting, email, and any activated advertising services process information as described above. Advertising-related processing can be subject to regional sale, sharing, or targeted-advertising opt-out rules; use the available privacy controls for those choices.
Following a source or settings link takes you to another service, which handles your visit under its own policies. You do not need to sign in to any external service to use AdCheckMe’s explainer.
Questions and changes
You may contact us about information you have provided or the privacy choices available to you. We will update this page when our practices change and show the effective date. Material changes to the site’s collection or advertising behavior require corresponding changes to this notice.
